Meet Greg

Greg Parker is currently the District Attorney for Shawano and Menominee Counties. Greg is a veteran of the United States Army and the Army National Guard. He was a sheriff’s deputy in Outagamie County for eight years before retiring after being injured in the line of duty. After earning his law degree, he started his private practice and then became partner in a law firm where he practiced trial law until running for District Attorney in 2006.

Greg has been an active member and board member of the Shawano Optimist Club for many years. One of the events Greg is especially proud of organizing, is the annual Respect for Law event. For this event the Optimist Club honors local, nominated law enforcement officers for the Officer of the Year. Endorsed by Ethan Schmidt, Clerk of Courts, George Lenzner, Shawano County Sheriff and Brian Westfahl, Shawano County Coroner.

Greg and Kari have been married 32 years and are proud parents of Chris and Courtney. The Parkers live in Shawano and are active at St. James Lutheran Church Shawano. Greg completed 6 years on the St. James Lutheran School Board. Kari completed 6 years with the "Fun Board"—the Board of Family Life—and was involved in the annual Vacation Bible School, youth group, and Praise Fest with help from Chris and Courtney.
